Tiada cuti bagimu Ayah!

Tugas seorang ayah tak pernah kenal erti cuti walaupon sememangnya dia tengah bercuti. Aku dah start bercuti sampai tahun depan. Last minute baru perasan annual leave hanya 50% boleh carry forward ke next year. So, minggu last Dec ni mmg kena amik cuti whole week. Alhamdulillah, selesai sudah urusan hari ni di Sri Ayeesha Islamic School. Tomorrow's task - Iman's registration day at Tadika Khalifah Bestari. Rasa mcm anak dah masuk SBP plak! Siap ada waiting list utk enrol 5-years-old Iman ke tadika. And this tadika has 10 classes for 5 years old kids ALONE, with 20 kids in each class. Semoga terus melakar kejayaan wahai puteriku, Wan Iman Syuhada.

Seminar Transformasi Pendidikan Islam

Cabaran sebenar ibubapa dlm proses mendidik anak2 ialah searching for the right blend antara Syariatullah dan Sunnatullah, agar kedua2nya bergerak seiringan sebagai satu sinergi. Ibubapa adalah QC kpd anak2 mereka supaya produk yg dihasilkan menetapi spesifikasi yg telah diendorsekan oleh Allah SWT. Alhamdulillah, banyak maklumat berguna yang aku & Hani dapat daripada seminar Transformasi Pendidikan Islam semalam. Pengisian yang amat berguna dan releven utk diketahui oleh semua ibu bapa sebagai panduan membimbing anak masing2 terutamanya dalam sistem pendidikan semasa yang serba mencabar. Jazakallah kepada Ust Hasrizal, Tuan Fazrol dan Ustaz Hasni dari SM Al-Amin. Semoga Allah membalas jasa kalian untuk perkongsian ilmu yg sungguh bermanfaat.

One thing that I've really learnt throughout this seminar is, Do NOT compromise your children education. Walaupon terpaksa membayar harga yang tinggi untuk pendidikan anak2 terutamanya yang berbentuk Islamic, nilainya adalah priceless. Sekularisme dalam sistem pendidikan yg sedia ada telah merencatkan generasi kita. Wallahu A'lam.

Jangan lah kita hanya melahirkan dan membentuk khalifah yg baik tapi hamba Allah yang gagal, mahu pon hamba Allah yang baik tapi khalifah yg gagal. Renung2kan lah...

Ages!

Just as the title implies, I can't believe I haven't been updating here in such a long time. My apologies to all my friends out there who took the time to pop back from time to time to see if anything new has appeared in here. Some even tweeted and sent FB msg typing, "Weh, bila ko nk updet blog daa?". Haha. Thanks guys. It brings a smile to my face knowing that some of you guys DO find my random babbling in here worth reading! Whether the read is substancial or not is another issue though.

The truth is, after taking up this new job since March things was a bit hectic considering another 15km extra to kill; travelling to work back and forth plus a much bigger responsibility on my shoulder. And enough with that, when I get back from work, I find that it's too big a sacrifice to open my laptop and blog when I have this little, limited time to spend with my wife and kids.

Well, maybe it's all about time management which I haven't mastered yet. Do pray for me that I'll get along fine so that I can blog more often. There's loads of happenings and updates that I'd like to put a remark on in here as our life has entered it's next phase. Just a piece of advice to brighten up your day, let's give value to the life of those people around you! You will find that your life will be more meaningful as your appreciation to Allah increase day by day. Take care people!

Putting thoughts to my fingertips

Yesterday our MD's father passed away. All management staffs of Commercial Division were there during the solat jenazah at Masjid Al-Ansar AU2 Keramat. I had the chance of meeting Ust. Abdullah Yassin who used to give tazkirah at Masjid Al-Azim Pandan Indah where my late father-in-law used to serve.

"He was a nice man. Send my regards to your wife and your family". His face was a bit gloomy as he murmurred those short but meaningful words. I was left in a state of poignant upon hearing those remarks. The thoughts of the man with the name Haji Ahmad Bin Ismail was 'slide-showing' in my head.

I have decided to write from my heart today. Something that I was unable to do for quite sometime due to time contraint and other commitments.

18th June each year has always marked an emotional griever to our family. And that same date this year had made us all realized that it has been 4 years since my late father-in-law, Hj Ahmad Bin Ismail left us. There is this melancholy deep inside within me everytime I speak or even put my thoughts on him.

There's this one day when I was driving back from work, making my way through the traffic, when there was this motivation slot on air advising tips on how to confront the loss of someone you love and learning to let go. I tried to put myself together and gave the motivator a chance, even though I knew that in many ways, the exercise would prove to be a difficult and emotional one.

I was wrong. It wasn’t difficult. But I was also right, as it proved to be an extremely emotional endeavor. Remembering the good thoughts and happy memories with him had somehow half outlandishly brought smiles to my face. To make sure that my wife Honey, mother-in-law and the rest of the family felt the same way is another big question though.

I've also learned that good-byes will always hurt, pictures will never replace having been there, memories good and bad will bring tears, and words can never replace feelings. May Allah bestow a great blesssing and His mercy upon this great man, Amin.

Semalam lepas balik dari An-Nur, aku mencuri masa untuk memeriksa markah kertas ujian pertengahan penggal Bahasa Melayu anakanda Danish Haiqal. Termenung aku sejenak, sambil tengok 'tuan punye paper' yang dah terbongkang tidur kat depan TV, menunggu ayah nye balik. Kenapa tiba2 kuat pulak pengaruh loghat Terenganu dalam penulisan Danish ni?

I guess after reading that title there, you'll be taking a deep breath and a sigh full with concentrated CO2. I'm no Jerry Maguire! At least, now I get the feeling during the scene in the movie Jerry Maguire, the eponymous character played to perfection by Tom Cruise when he said and almost beg, "Help me, help you"!

How do we help someone who doesn't want to help himself or herself? We don't! I guess I can say that. But to react that way is like giving up on that person. At some point in your life, things will come back at you and somehow you need to settle the issue rather than ignoring it.

The truth is, at this point of time, I have no answer to that. Dear Allah, please give me the courage to withstand this test! Amin.

Dah kena pencen kot dari dunia blogging ni. Tengok kepada entry yang adakalanya pasang surut, dengan komitmen masa utk kerja dan keluarga, 'melomahkan' lagi smangat yang dulunya berkobar-kobar utk update dalam blog ni. Boleh dapat elaun pencen tak? Hmphhh..

Nature kerja yang baru menuntut pengorbanan yang lebih dari segi masa especially to drive every morning taking the SKVE route, and head to Shah Alam. Dah dekat Maghrib baru sampai rumah. Less quality time with the kids when it comes to weekdays.

Kadang2 pagi sabtu, Danish yang baru nak bangun tido n tengah mamai boleh tanya, "Ayah kerja jugak ke hari ni?". And how he would smile when I replied, "Tak, ari ni sabtu. Ayah cuti". Ouchhh...

Alhamdulillah, kita kembali semula ke sharemotivasi- sentuhan Qalbu.

Ingin sekali saya berkongsi pengalaman untuk kebaikan kita bersama. Mudah-mudahan, kita dapat memiliki sesuatu dalam artikel kali ini.

Sebelum kita melangkah lebih jauh, marilah sama-sama kita istiqhfar kepada Allah swt.

Sharemotivasi- Sentuhan Qalbu kali ini ingin mengupas sesuatu yang ada dalam diri kita. Bukan sedikit, tetapi besar ertinya kedalam hidup kita sebagai seorang hamba Allah.

Mencari dan terus mencari, ungkapan yang selalu kita dengari. Tetapi sejauh mana kebenaran yang kita cari itu. Adakah ia tersasar? Ataupun terpesong dari simpangnya..
Sama-sama kita ikuti artikel ini.

Kehidupan yang selama ini kita cari selalu terletak pada satu dasar dimana diatasnya pudar, dibawahnya kepincangan. Kebahagian yang dicari manusia menerusi material, kemegahan laksana pohon-pohon muda yang tumbuh sesaat, berbuah sesaat, berbunga sesaat lalu apabila ditiupkan angin badai yang menimpa, pohon-pohon muda itu hilang kekuatan akarnya, menjadi rapuh umpama biskut yang dipijak-pijak, lalu ia menjadi debu-debu yang halus bertebaran jauh ke langit.

Kemudian, kita menangis, mencari tisu untuk merawat duka, tapi akhirnya, berdarah sentiasa mengalir, umpama hilang faktor clotting dalam darah.. Terus mengalir dari jiwa yang pening hingga meresap ke dalam botol akal fikiran.

Lalu kita cepat-cepat membuat keputusan, memikirkan sejenak mengenai masa hadapan hingga tergambar di bayangan minda, rumah idaman, kereta besar, pangkat yang tinggi yang akhirnya kita merasakan ia adalah kebahagiaan yang perlu kita kecapi.

Sesaat kita mendapat gelaran pangkat yang tinggi, hati kita selalu merasakan ia masih tidak mencukupi. Namun, diri kita tidak pernah kenal erti cukup dalam dunia maya ini. Kita terus mengejar dan mengejar sehingga berjaya mendapat pangkat yang lebih tinggi. Tiba-tiba badai musibah mengusik kita, datang tanpa diundang dalam rumah hati kita. Kita menjadi kaku dan layu, umpama cell-cell pohon dalam hati menjadi rapuh lalu terurai menjadi pohon tua yang menunggu masa menyembah bumi..
Inilah gambaran pohon hati yang sudah rosak.. Akarnya tidak disirami dan dibajai, sesaat berbuah tetapi hancur. Itulah gambaran kebahagian sesaat.

Sejenak kita renungkan dalam diri kita. Pejamkan mata kita. Lihatlah pada diri masing-masing. Pohon hati apakah yang telah kita tumbuhkan dalam dunia hati kita?

Bagaimanakah selama ini kita menjalani kehidupan kita? Sudahkan selama ini hidup kita menjadikan kehidupan kita benar-benar mengabdikan diri kepada Allah?
Sudahkan kita ikhlaskan diri kepada Allah? Tepuklah akal kita supaya ia berfikir untuk diri kita.

Ketika kita pergi ke sekolah mahupun universiti, adakah kita telah mendidik pohon hati kita bahawa ijazah yang bakal dimiliki itu bukan untuk kita menjulang gelaran tetapi sesungguhnya demi pengabdian kita kepada Allah swt?

Cubalah kita bertanya secara jujur pada diri kita sendiri. Mari kita lihat:
Kemana selama ini, umur kita telah habiskan? Kemana selama ini, kehidupan kita selama ini berikan?

Lihatlah diri kita ketika musibah itu datang. Berapa sering kita keluh kesal ? Malah, kita menyalahkan pula Allah kerana menurunkan dugaan sedemikian rupa. Kita tak dapat menerima takdir Allah. Kita menyesali semua yang ada dalam hidup kita, seolah kita tidak pernah rasa puas dengan segala apa yang kita ada..

Kita tak menyedari sebenarnya hati kita yang sedang jauh dari Allah. Hati kita yang saat itu tak mampu merasakan bahwa Allah itu dekat dengan kehidupan kita.
Bahkan akal keimanan kita dalam kehidupan kita sudah kering dan mati.

Dan kitalah orang muda yang lupa kehidupan ini untuk apa.

Marilah kita ucapkan istiqhfar kepada Allah. Mari kita memohon ampun kepada Allah...
Astaghfirullah.

Para pembaca sekalian yang dirahmati Allah...

Mungkin ketika kehidupan kita kering, kita sedar bahawa kebahagian material dan duniawi itu semua hanya sesaat dan kebahgiaan sebenar-benarnya adalah ketika kita menanam akar kecintaan kita kepada Allah, yang tumbuh masuk ke dasar hati.
yang kemudian yang tumbuh tinggi menjadi pohon kehidupan, yang menghasilkan buah kebahagian yang selamanya kerana, kita merasakan Allah bersama kita, Allah menaungi kehidupan kita, Allah menjaga dirimu setiap saat meskipun ujian datang silih berganti maka, mudahan-mudahan kita semua sama-sama dapat menyedari dan menyakini,
jadikan Allah cita-cita hidup kita yang paling utama, nescaya Allah menjaga kehidupan kita di dunia dan di akhirat.

Daripada riwayat Abu Zar, Rasululullah SAW bersabda:
"Teguhkan bahteramu kerana lautan yang kamu lalui itu terlalu dalam untuk diharungi,
Banyakkanlah bekalan kerana perjalanan kita cukup jauh untuk dijalani,
Ringankanlah belakangmu kerana yang didaki itu terlalu curam,
Ikhlaskanlah segala perbuatanmu kerana yang menilai kita amat Mengetahui dan Maha Melihat apa yang kita lakukan,"

Oleh itu, segala yang kita lahirkan dari hati kita, dari perbuatan kita, lakukankanlah kerana Allah SWT, bukan untuk kemegahan dan keagungan yang kita cari,
tetapi semata-mata kepada Allah. Kerana keagungan kita akan ada bila Allah redha kepada kita.

Jangan kita lupa, bahawa dalam kehidupan kita ini, ada satu pohon hati yang perlu kita bangunkan. Tumbangnya pohon itu, maka ranaplah kehidupan kita. Mudah-mudahan, kita diredhai Allah. Semoga Allah mengampuni kita semua, Amin.

The sad incident and tragedy which occured at an orphanage Rumah Anak Yatim Hidayah-Madrasah Al-Taqwa in Kampung Gahal, Sg Semungkis, Hulu Langat where a landslide happened had brought such grievance over the weeekend. The sad incidents claimed 16 lives. 9 survived. Al-Fatihah.

Alhamdulillah, Syaher & Sis Ha has now proudly joined the parenting club with their new bundle of joy, baby Wan Aufa Darwishah.(Dah confirm ke ni nama ni? Pandai2 je ni, hehe). Sis Ha safely gave birth to cute baby Aufa at KBMC at 1.19 pm weighing 3.2kg. Semoga anakanda Wan Aufa menjadi anak yang solehah, insha Allah. X sabar nk balik tgk anak buah CNY nih!

Life is all about choices and the fact of living with that choice you made despite whatever circumstances it may lead you to. Question is, when you have made the right choices, (or 'thought' that you have made the right choices, for that matter!), did we ever thank Allah with all our heart for guiding us? For showing us the way? For bestowing his blessings during thick and thin? And when it comes to showing our appreciation to Allah, how do we ever know that we have thanked Him enough?

Deep down inside, there is this sense of guilt inside me. Although this sort of feeling naturally come and go with time but somehow I felt that I need to make it an exception this time around to have a reflect about it. In seconds, it suddenly struck me deep inside that I was so profoundly ashamed of myself. Ashamed of myself for praying to Allah just to fulfill my obligation as a Muslim. Ashamed of myself for praying somewhat half-heartedly at times, mind on other matters. Ashamed of myself for not realizing the sweetness of pure iman. Please forgive me Allah...

School updates

Alhamdulillah, Danish is adapting super-well at school. We are proud to see his knowledge improving so fast and within a week at Darul Fuqaha, we started to see some differences compared to the old Danish. His knowledge pertaining to solat and doa', his attitude has starting to show some good improvement. Every parents heart will sink every morning when they send their kids to school at Darul Fuqaha, seeing their kids preparing to perform the sunat dhuha. Moga Allah sentiasa menurunkan taufik dan inayah ke atas anakandaku, Wan Danish Haiqal, Amin.

He's Doing F.I.N.E.!

Alhamdulillah. Danish survived his first day at school. I applied 3 days off just to make sure that he adapts well to his new environment. Not that I don't trust him of behaving, but just in case. Seeing Danish so confident from the day he stepped in his class, Honey and I was sure that we don't have to wait for him in the class like some other parents did. Although we won't mind waiting for his first day, wanting to see how he mix with his new friends and how he corresponds with a stranger that now is his ustaz or ustazah, but we just don't want it to be a norm for him, knowing we are there. Sooner or later, he'll have to be there on his own, looking after himself. We thanked god that our son made it easy for us. Easy to feel confident that he'll manage to be on his own and easy to walk away from his school feeling at ease, knowing that he'll be fine and that our prayers and love will always be there with him, Insha Allah.

On his second day, making use of my leave, I secretly climbed up the stairs to Danish school's surau during the lunch break to see how is he coping. And I was almost in tears to see him in the front row saf, prepparing the sejadah, waiting for the Zohor prayers. He was surprised and smiled heartily when he saw me approaching. He hugged my hands and whispered softly, "Ayah datang tengok Danish". I just smiled back, as the Bilal said the iqamat. Deep down inside, it was a warm, proud feeling of being a parent.

I'm so proud of you my son! You're the best think that ever happen to Ayah & Ibu. Seeing you settling down so well in the new environment at school lift our heart even more. Semoga menjadi anak yang soleh dan berjaya dunia akhirat, Amin. Thank you Allah.

Danish Haiqal's First Day At School

Gambar sebelum pergi ke sekolah. Semangat betul Danish berpakaian sepersalinan baru dari bawah hingga ke atas. Dari pagi dah sibuk tarik 'beg tarik'nye ke sana sini. "Ayah, Danish cam ayah nak gi keje!". Somehow wearing a kemeja tuck in your pants seems to have the impression of going to work for him. Tengok ayah dia camtu kot. Hehe...

Ismi Wan Danish Haiqal. Ata'allamu fi Sek. Ren. Islam Pintar Tahfiz Darul Fuqaha'. Moga sekolah ini memberikan anakanda ilmu utk annajah fi ddunya wal akhirah. A khalifah in the making, insha allah.

Tuuuu dia, sempat lg intai Ayah & Ibu kat luar masa dalam kelas. Kat ujung yg tengah ngintai same bapak is Danish's new friend, Kifayatullah. Ayah dia ckp, nama tu inspired by nama menantu TGNA. Wallahu a'lam.

Saya roti Baru Dan Susu?

Those were the words that I found written down on Danish's stack of A4 papers, with a cartoon drawings of a cow driving a crane with the word 'susu' written on it! It's an amazing yet challenging thing envisaging that exact words written by a 6 year old and a half! How they try to express things from their point of view. I don't even think Da Vinci can crack this one out!

Right at this very moment, Danish is sleeping. Iman? Still wide awake in the kitchen 'helping ibu' prepparing for tomorrow's breakfast. Tomorrow will be a big day for Danish and for us too. His first day at school. Dah Darjah 1 anak sulong ayah ni.

I remembered 3 years back when Honey and I had to send Danish to a nursery in USJ they day she had to report for duty. It was the first time we ever had to send him in someone else's care. We waited in the car, trying to listen if there were any crying sound from him. And when there wasn't any, Ibu dia was the one who ended up crying!

May Allah give you his hidayah and barakah to survive your days and responsibility as a student and may He protect you always my son. Hasbunallah wa ni'mal wakil, walahaulawala quwwata illa billahi aliyyi adzeem. Good luck my dear, precious son, Wan Danish Haiqal. Doa Ayah dan Ibu akan sentiasa bersama anakanda. Ayah and Ibu love you unconditionally!

Honey and I thought that it would be a good thing to have one final family outing before the school holiday is finally over. This time, we were thinking of something exciting for Danish, but doubtful for Iman. And I guess we were right! Iman was intolerant and refuse to give her co-operation to please his big brother's ice breaking session with the dinasours. Nak balik baru ok sket. FYI, this dinasour display is at Pusat Sains Negara from 1 Dec 2010 till May end 2011.

Danish reaction on the first dinasour he saw that day. Danish : Ayah, dalam dinasour ni ada ape? Boleh ke kita sembelih dinasour ni? Dinasour ni makan tak roti? Aduyai, anakku sorang ni!

My dearie son has now entered his next step in life. Macam tak sangka begitu cepat masa berlalu. Iman yang akan berusia 4 tahun pada 2011 nanti pon akan masuk tadika. Semoga Allah menjadikan mereka berdua anak2 yang cemerlang dunia dan akhirat, Amin.

Father Figure

I spent an hour-plus quality time at the park yesterday, bringing my kids; Danish & Iman spending the nice and sunny evening together, making use of the weekend, rather than spending the time at home or at their Opah's as usual.

Nothing unusual there. We've done it many times. But as my active and pudgy little girl, who had just discovered the use of her legs, happily paced about the running track while other parents and kids looked in amusement, it occurred to me just how big she's grown up and how fast time really flies.

It was barely moments ago when I first held her in my arms, whispering the azan in her ear, at Selayang Hospital. She was tiny, I could hardly cuddle her without worrying that I held her too tightly. Fragile. For the first time, a father and a daughter changed looks, eyes to eyes, heart to heart. And somehow from that moment, I knew I was gonna name her Iman, although Honey and I spent restless nights before her birth to conclude a name for our baby which ended up in frustration and most of the session would end with the sound of our snores echoing through our bedroom. Most them mine.

I remembered very clearly, that precise unexplainable moments. The pride of being a father was filling my head as well as my veins. There she was, the cute and tiny little baby lovingly stared back at me.

And now, there she was, running around the park holding a baby doll in her hands that she loves so much. Her cute act around the track, earned smiles and laughter from those watching. Eleven kilos of fun, chased around by his out-of-shape old man. I thought, she's definitely grown. Alhamdulillah.

And then my thoughts shifted to my firstborn, Danish, who's enjoying his pre-school year-end break and is equally excited for his first step to primary school next year.

It amazes me how, from throwing tantrums and crying during the first couple of weeks in class, he had 'graduated' his pre-school few weeks ago. He knows additions, spelling and of course DRAWING! Having developed so much confidence and manners, it warms my heart just thinking about it.

Thinking of my two kids, I wondered where the time went. In a split second, my boys turned from babbling babies to toddlers who've mastered Youtube and online games.

Before I could realise anything, Danish and Iman had outgrown so many of their clothes, toys and house rules. Before long they'll be teenagers and so not into hugging and kissing their daddy. Soon, all this good night kisses and spontaneous hugs will slowly fade away.

Before I know it, they'll be having relationship issues, hormonal explosions and disagreement with their old fashioned parents over the smallest things like curfews, use of the car and their choices of friends. Trust me, I've seen my younger brothers and my parents in these conditions and it bothers me to imagine how it would turn out to be having my shoes in my parents'. And before I know it, they'll be leaving this so-called nest for their studies, their loved ones and their new lives.

I wondered if I've given them enough. Have I spent enough quality time with them? Have I shared with them enough lessons for them to take along their long journey? Have I hugged them enough and told them that I'm so very proud of them and that I love them to bits?

Or have I been focusing on the wrong things?

Have I, in my pursuit to make something for myself and along the way provide for my family, taken them for granted?

Have I been lulled by the rat race of life? In chasing wealth, making ends to ends work and trying to make a mark in the world, have I forgotten that MY WORLD IS RIGHT THERE WAITING FOR ME AT HOME? That worldly wealth is zilch compared with the wealth that is family?

Have I spent too much time and energy giving my all at work, striving to address every demand of my job, while dismissing my kid's requests for a little attention because I come back home every evening physically and emotionally exhausted?

Dear Allah, I hope I haven't.

I hope that I'm not just my kids superhero, not just a father figure, whose only connection with my kids is blood. And I hope I'll never be only that.

I hope I realise - and continues to realise - that my Danish and my Iman want more than the things I buy them, that the thing they need most from me is my heart.

I hope these two little angels will treat me as their best friend for life, someone they'll trust with their innermost insecurities and aspirations. I hope to be there when they need me most, and I pray Honey and I live long enough to see them have their own little ones.

I hope they'll take the best of me and improve it much further. And I hope they'll forgive the worst of me, and love me for who I am.

To my mum and dad, I love you with all my heart. Your sacrifice in raising us is something that I can't pay you back even with my life. I pray that Allah bless you both and place us in His Jannah in there Hereafter, Insha Allah.

To my sister Farah, if you're reading this. I wish you all the best in giving birth to your baby. Treasure those moments of being a proud parents, DO NOT take things for granted. Give your kids unconditional love without pampering them too much. Give them the best education for their success here and in the akhirat, Ameen.

The King of all the months is now departing us. How sad is this moment in a believer’s life when something so precious is departing. All good things must come to an end, and so must Ramadhan. Ramadhan is the most Superior month of all other months. Be sad that now the time has come that this Superiority must depart us. Ramadhan is like an elevator, whoever that can get on that elevator and make use of it will be elevated closer and closer to Allah. Be sad that now that very same elevator is departing from us. Ramadan is like a shaded tree of mercy in the hot sunny world of sins and suffering. Be sad that this tree now is soon departing from us. Sadly this month of blessings and mercy is departing which every little act of goodness and worship are all multiplied by 70. Be sad that such month of tremendous importance is departing from us. Its mornings were blessed, and its nights were merciful and methods of forgiveness. Be sad that such blessings are now departed from us.

Now the syaitan is free, so watch out! Whatever good we did in Ramadhan, syaitan is here to get even with us. We prayed solat promptly and kusyuk-ly all 5 times a day, and nothing disgraces syaitan laknatullah like a muslim performing his solat. Now he is here to take revenge. He is mad and disgraced. He tempted, deceived, and misled us for 11 months. And then Ramadhan came, and the effects of 11 months of his delusions were wiped away like a napkin wipes away droplets. Now he is back, continuing his mission to to mislead and tempting us, more than ever before. So ask Allah to save us from his whispers. A'uzu billahi minassyaitanirrajim.

Dear friends,
This is not the end. The departure of Ramadhan is not the end. On one hand, Ramadhan trained the believers to fight temptations, urges, hunger, thirst, and other such realities of life. On the other hand, Ramadhan provided us with chances and incentives to spend our time despite our busy schedules in remembering Allah, seeking forgiveness from Him, and performing ibadat for Him. Ramadhan provided us with all the tools we need to realize that a true believer does not only resist syaitan, but also find time to bow down before Allah and submit to His Will, both literally and metaphorically. So grab your DIY tools, and do something to fix and improve your life.

The month of Ramadhan was like a training arena for all muslims. We learnt what we did not know, we taught what we knew, and we practiced what we taught. Reflect upon the last precious 30 days, and remind yourself of the improvements you have achieved. Regardless of how small the improvements seem, be happy that you are now a better and improved muslim than what you were 30 days ago. Spread Islam, educate people. Please Allah and get Jannah. Its not easy, but it’s not hard either.

Someone has to take the initiative. Never be disheartened. Never give up. Never feel depressed or discouraged. When you are down to nothing, Allah is up to something. Never accuse that Allah has made life miserable for you. Allah never tests a believer through means harder than what the believer can not handle. Allah says that with every difficulty comes an ease. Just be patient and have faith in Him. Each improvement raises your spiritual levels towards Allah. Each step taken towards Allah brings you closer to Him. No improvement is small. I cannot even begin to stress how important it is to do every little thing you can do. What is a seed today WILL grow into a tree tomorrow. Never think that, 'I am just an individual, what can I do alone?' Never lose faith and trust in Allah. You must do your job and obligations, then leave the rest to Allah. Allah will work with you, but not for you. Never underestimate your potentials. Never think that one person can’t make a difference: Our Beloved Prophet did!!

I think this would probably my last post during this transition period before Syawal takes over. I, representing The Ones family; Wan Fahimi, Yusniza Hani, Wan Danish Haiqal and Wan Iman Syuhada wish all of you Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Maaf Zahir Batin. The kids hosting Ramadhan

Alhamdulillah, Ramadhan has been rewarding for the kids as well. Danish was as motivated as ever to fast for the whole day for the first time (Before this posa yang yuk je. Yeah, tengahari bukak periuk! ) after being inspired by UPIN & IPIN. But he was a bit offended by his little sister, Iman who wake up for Sahur but was still eating when azan Subuh was called! Cobaan!!!... Siap mintak ayah dia ajarkan camne nk tengok jam lagi. The most torturing and challenging time for him is between 4 to 5 o'clock. Masa tu memang parah. Seminit skali tanya jam pukul brapa. To date (considering we have another 3 more Ramadhan days to go...), Danish had managed to puasa penuh for 7 successful days! Yang lain2 tu buka puasa pukul 12, 2pm and ada yang x posa langsung. Alasan : Kan Danish tak bangun sahur!... Well done my son. A little caliph in the making, insya allah.

As for 3-years old Iman Syuhada, despite was found always eating and munching in the mornings and afternoons around the house, she always claims that she is fasting! "Iman puasa cam abang!". And his brother Danish would make that dissatisfied look on his face, while seeing his little sister eat all those foods and cookies. Well, at least Iman ada gak cita2 nak puasa cam abang dia. That's something for a start. She too, seems to got some interest in fasting after seeing UPIN & IPIN with the two characters babbling about kalau puasa dapat masuk syurga and all. And then, bila dah dekat masuk waktu berbuka and when the muazin call for the azan on the TV set to ASTRO OASIS, she would be the one yang kecoh! Shhhhhh, diam. orang azan! Big brother pulak paling laju tadah tangan n baca doa nak bukak posa! Ishh ishhh, anak2. May god bless you children and turn you two into solehin and solehat, Amin.

Sedar tak sedar dah masuk sparuh dah bulan puasa. Dalam masa ramadhan dah separuh jalan, tadarus ku jugak yang x sampai2 lagi sparuh qura'an! Tapi takpe la, yg lebih aula ialah memahami dan mengamalkan apa2 yang telah dibaca. Dgn cara tu, baru ada penghayatan. Ramadhan kali ni banyak plak aku outstation. Baru sminggu puasa, dah kena pegi Singapore for 3 days training. Balik dari Singapore terus kena arrange user training kat JB and a few important meetings and visits. Sememangnya aku kagum dengan seorang ustaz dari Bangladesh ni. Beliau sekarang jadik iman trawih kat Masjid Taman Ihsan, Kepong. Dia dapat khatam Quraan dalam masa 2 hari je. So bayangkan je la, sepanjang Ramadhan ni berapa kali beliau dapat khatam. Subhanallah... aku akui aku hanyalah hamba nye yang lemah. Dapat khatam skali pon dah cukup syukur dah bulan posa ni. Hari ni merupakan hari Nuzul Quran dan jugak pada hari ni genapnya 2 tahun kembali nya arwah Airyz Hanum ke rahmatullah. Semoga berkat hari yang penuh mulia ni, Allah cucuri rahmat ke atas roh beliau dan semoga beliau di golongkan di kalangan hamba2 Nya yang solihin dan muqarrabin, Amin.

Akhirnya, berjaya jugak kitorang sampai ke Restaurant Saba, restoran yang serve middle eastern or arabic cuisine yang slalu sangat digembar gemburkan sampai air liur ku meleleh tekenangkan kambing khabsah nye! Perjalanan dari umah ke sana lebeh kurang 23 minit.

It's a shame that I've been living in Bangi for almost 4 years now and I have yet to fill my unshameful tummy with any of Saba's khabsah, tikka, or kebab despite having my friends wowwing and tweeting about their experience at Saba with full of satisfaction. Which I would say, successfully made me crave even more to push those yummy cuisines down through my sorry throat!

Danish trying a sip of the Barbican drink. A must try non-alcoholic malt beverage originated from Middle East at RM4 per bottle. It comes in few tasty flavors to choose for such as lemon, peach, raspberry and etc. It taste some what like those sparkling juice minus the over-sweetness. I would say, the peach flavor is the best!

There are many other Middle Eastern cuisine in Bangi and in some parts of Kajang or even Serdang but there is something about the food and taste here in Saba. The price is friendly too! The food here is undeniably rated above average for me. For those out there who wants to give it a bang, restoran ni terletak in our very own MSC township, Cyberjaya. It is primely located opposite Cyberjaya’s bus terminal at the newly opened shoplots, only a few shops away from Secret Recipe. I don't think you will miss it since there are not so many restaurants in Cyberjaya itself except for a few shoplots and all. The rest are just offices such as Dell, HP, Toshiba, Ericsson and such. Sekian, jalan-jalan-cari-makan buat kali ini, just before we celebrate Ramadhan, the month full of barakah. Allahumma balighna ramadhan, amin.

Larger Than Life

My life phase has been accelerating super fast lately. The unfortunate fact that I failed to blog some parts and parcels to it made it even worse. A lot of happenings and incidents took place in our family and fraternal friends around us in just a glimpse. If I could recap, those were important moments in life that I wouldn't trade for anything despite it being sweet and bitter moments in life. Shaky and teary moments come and go, and I'm still trying to stand on my very own two feets, surviving this very tidal waves. Allah's promise is keeping me strong :

“Kami tidak membebani seseorang melainkan menurut kesanggupannya, dan pada sisi Kami ada suatu kitab yang membicarakan kebenaran, dan mereka tidak dianiaya.” (Surah al-Mukminun: 62)

And as I walked through this very great moments, I'm glad I have a shoulder to cry on who is walking by my side through thick and thin, someone who always help me stretch for my inner strength, my inspiration; my wife Honey. Thanks dear. I love you so much.

Love you lots, dear!

Danish and Iman has been growing up really fast that I must say sometimes there were some point in my life where I thought a lot, thinking of how will things work for me when I grew old and my kids turn to their adolescence. Somehow deep inside, I know I will miss this very great moments. And if you're reading this my dear kids, I want you to know that I love you both greatly with unconditional and undivided love. You're the best thing that ever happen to me and your mother. May Allah blessings be with us always, Amin.

Chicken with the Pox!

Satu hari lps balik dari sekolah, aku perasan macam ada bintik2 merah kat leher Danish. I was curious and told him to have a shower, while I went to look for Elomet. Malam tu lps sembahyang Maghrib, cam bintik2 kecik merah naik kat muka Danish and within that few hours lps dia mandi tadi, the spread was so fast. Damn, this is not any one of those eczema allergies that Danish usually had. So, cepat2 aku bawak dia pi klinik. I was right. It was Chicken Pox. I remember having them when I was 11 and it was soooo irritating having all those tiny red dots covering all over your bodies. The second thing we were concern of is fearing that Iman might also catch it as well.

Soon we discovered from Alisya's mum that there was a parent that still send their child for school although the boy had chicken pox, and Alisya herself also had chicken pox last 3 days! Arghhh, geram betul rasanye. Dia cakap dah ada 3-4 budak yang kena. So Honey and I decided to have Danish off for school for a week while he gets extra care from his Opah at home. In about 3 days, the red rashes spread to his upper part of his body, his neck, his face and all over his head. And after a day or two, it started fading. Mak made this special so-called foundation using daun bambu which is known by our orang2 tua to be the curse for chicken pox. So we started to put those one as well as the cream and medication that the doctor had presribed earlier.

Danish ni dah cam pokok je ayah". Haha, cam incredible hulk pon ade!

Harap2 pasni baek la tu. Be strong my son!

Genap Setahun Pemergian Adinda Airyz Hanum Bt Ahmad - Al-Fatihah

Today marks up one year lps arwah Airyz Hanum tinggalkan kami. Terus terang aku cakap, aku tatau camne kitorg berjaya tabahkan hati mengadap setahun tu tanpa Airyz. Allah Maha Penyayang.

2 minggu lps, aku ajak mak pegi HUKM setelkan bil hospital Hahum yang dari dulu lagi nak dibayar tapi x sempat-sempat nak pegi. Aku terus parking kereta depan Jabatan Kecemasan tu. "Teringat masa kita hantar Hanum kat Kecemasan ni dulu kan Mie?", mak bertanya, sayu. Aku tengok mak. Aku angguk. Aku dapat lihat air mata mak bertakung. Sampai je kat kaunter, aku tunjuk invoice bayaran. Akak kat kaunter tu tanya, "Nak bayar penuh ke camne ni Encik?". "Penuh", aku jawab pendek. Dah setel, dia terus printkan resit dan senyum. "Adik nya dah sihat ke?", tiba-tiba akak tu tanya. Aku tersentak. Berat hati rasanye nak jawab. "Arwah dah takde kak. Dah setahun dah". Muka akak tu terkejut dan tiba2 bertukar muka bersalah. "Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun, sori encik, saya tak tahu".

Lepas setahun ni jugak, tengah aku dok trasnfer file2 dari laptop office ke portable hard disk tiba2 aku terjumpa 3GP files video-video terakhir bersama arwah. Video tu masa kitorang pegi bercuti kat Tembeling Resort Kuantan dan jugak kat Country Heights. Memang video ni tak pernah tengok balik lps dirakam. Sayu aku rasa tengok muka arwah adik ipar aku dalam video tu. Seronok sangat kitorang masa tu. Balik2 lps buka puasa, aku terus tunjuk video tu kat Honey. Mengalir air mata dia. Rindu sangat dia kat adik dia tu. Subhanallah, pendek sungguh kehidupan di dunia mu ni Ya Allah.

Danish's THC Sport's Day

Hari ni Tadika Hidayah Cahayaku (THC) punye Sport's Day. Pukul 7.00 pagi lagi Danish dah bangun. Memang dia pantang je ayah nye takde kat sebelah dia kat katil tu. Terus nak bangun. "Cepat Danish, mandi. Karang nak pi lari-lari." Danish jawab, "Nak lari skarang ke Yah?" (short form for Ayah). "Ye la, skarang laa... lambat kang panas plak..." Terus semangat dia pegi mandi.

Rupa2nye, Danish tak masuk acara lari pon. Tapi acara Rebut Kerusi. He came to me and sounded frustrated. "Danish tak suka main rebut kerusi, Danish x pandai. Danish nak main lari2". I told him that he'll do just fine. And it turned out that, he played quite well. Not bad at all to get the 3rd place!

I'm taking 2 days off from work nursing Danish at home. Honey took an upaid leave day off yesterday. Yeah, poor Danish had a fever a day before he was suppose to go to school after the long school break. I must admit, I can't concentrate when I'm at work when my kids are sick. Too bad that the many sickness and infections that today's world possess (or offer, for that matter!) doesn't seems to make me ease at my couch any better. Sigh.

Again, I can't focus when either Danish or Iman get sick. The fact that they are at the nursery when they are sick even worries me more. No offense to their teachers. They are doing great so far. But with those number of kids in the nursery, they can't possibly be taking care of Danish or Iman all the time although they happen to be sick. Can't blame 'em either. The way I see it is taking a day or two off from work and nurse them personally. At least when the fever gets really hot or bad, I can straight away come to their aid. And until I see their health is getting better, only I will let them go to nursery again. Or else, another day off from work.

The many sad and tragic incidents from our family's personal experience which still echoes very loudly makes me treasure my family more than anything in this world. I won't take things for granted. Saying that, I'm really fortunate to have an understanding superior and a job that is flexible and can be custom made to my timing and all (Although I'm not sure where the company is heading at this point of time! Haha). By having that, I'm enable to balance my time for my work and family at the same time! I guess only a few people are blessed with that. And I'm glad to be one of those very few. I love my kids, and family with all my heart. May Allah protect them all, Amin.

p/s : Count your blessings. You'll be surprised with what god has bestowed you with. On another note, Danish is showing positive signs of getting better. I might cancel my leave tomorrow after all!

Frustrated I was. Dah takde rezki kot. Kena beli normal price gak la kot. Aku nekad, esok hari aku akan datang lagi.

Taking the day off today. I've a date with someone special. It ain't easy to date and take her out without bringing along her two children together. Today she's taking half day just to spend her time with me. And her two kids are at their nursery. Usually when we go out, her kids would come between us and kinda ruin our privacy, with her eldest son not wanting to let go of his mother's hand, and her daughter in her embrace. She will be driving this red guy daily to work from Bangi to Pandan Indah back and forth. With this, she'll be home earlier to spend time with me and the kids. Looking at the current situation with both of us working and the kids going to school, nursery and all, an extra 30 minutes is precious enough for a quality time with the family. I will do anything for that precious 30 minutes! You can say that again...

He was my ex-classmate back in primary school (SRK Kamil 1) and also my schoolmate in Maahad Muhammadi. Asmadi Zakaria was a true friend. After Maahad, we lost contact and I got to meet him several times in UIA during my studying years when I went there to visit Honey. We met again after our school reunion last Eidul Adha. I went to UIA where he worked (Asmady was the head of department for IT in UIA PJ). We had lunch together and talked about good old times. He said that he missed all our Kamilians friends. We promised that one day we will arrange sort of a guy reunion thing with all our ex-classmate staying in KL. We never did.

My last meeting with him was at MRR2 when his Merc gave out by the road and I went for his rescue. Luckily, I was driving from my MIL's house to office using MRR2 and saw him by the highway. Brought him to a workshop nearby to buy a battery for his car and helped him fixed his car. After that we only met over the net in Facebook, YM and stuffs. Little did I know, that would be the last time I'll be hearing from him.

He passed away on his way home in Bukit Mahkota from solat jumaat where he felt down from his motorcycle. The doctor said that his death wasn't because of the accident but was from interceleberal bleeding in his brain which most probably resulted from the BP problem he was suffering. There was a high possibility that he was already breathless before his motorcycle collapsed. He didn't even had the opportunity to celebrate his 31st birthday which will be in another 3 days. His sudden death, gave everyone grieving in a state of shock; devastated. Arwah left behind a wife.

Reminiscing how he died, we all wish that we would do anything to be there with him during his very last breath. Maybe this was what Airyz's friends felt when she passed away August last year. So unbearable yet full of sorrow. Wallahu A'lam, Allah knows what's best for him. Mady, you're a true friend. Moga Allah merahmati roh beliau dan tempatkan beliau di kalangan mereka yang beriman, Amin.

Iman and The Ring

Honey's brother, Kamal is getting married this upcoming early May and he needs a ring to seal it off. Realizing the fact that gold from Kelantan is much more higher in quality and originality (that's what they say), he decided to ask us to buy one for him while we were back in my kampung.
And the search for the ring continues!...

Thankfully, the handphone toy which I bought for Iman kept her busy while mum is busy searching for the right ring for Kamal's wedding

Iman is behaving well for sure that day being able to give dad and his camera one of those smiles of hers!

FINALLY! Hopefully Kamal won't find out that I'm posting this photo on the web since it would ruin the surprise for his future wife, Najihah! Haha

An evening in my hometown

Salman was home after his long cruise with MISC. To him, it felt so good to be back home. To be able to meet Mummy and Babah after all this while before he sails off on the next ship until July. For us, it was a bonus to see Salman while visiting mum and dad which we missed most. It was raining cats and dogs in Kota Bharu which Mummy claimed that before we were back, the weather was rather on the contrary. Kitorg bawak rezeki kot! Hehe...

On the other hand, Hakim was also home for the weekend all the way from Pasir Gudang. Fikri and Che Haa also dropped by despite busy with the renovation works of their new office. Fikri is starting a unit trust consultant thingy on his own now and Che Haa is soon launching her firm. ( All the best for both of them! ) Felt good to have everybody around back home. Usually it would take Hari Raya to have all my siblings at home. Danish and Iman were having a blast balik kampung being the fact that they were both pampered as ever by their granma and granpa! We stayed in KB for 3 to 4 days while Honey window shop for Kamal's wedding ring and went back to KL. Can't wait to go back again. Already missed mum and dad!

Honey's uncle Pakcik Anuar or Cik Nuar as we used to call him passed away on this very day. The doctor confirmed that he had a minor stroke after he was rushed to A&E at HUKM. The next day about 10.00am he passed away. It was a loss to our family as he was the one who gave us motivation and strength during the loss of Ayah and Anum.

Alhamdulillah, Danish dah dapat menyesuaikan diri kat Tadika Hidayah Cahayaku tu. Cuma ada skali tu dia nangih bila aku lambat ambik dia dari sekolah. Tu pon masa hujan lebat sampai banjir kilat kat KL. On normal days, pukul 4.30 aku dah hit the road back home to pick him up pushing the throttle to the max. Iman pulak dah start enroll to Taska Hidayah Cahayaku. Seems to me that she's the one who adjust faster than big brother!

Alhamdulillah, this must've been the most historical day throughout my career at Cybron Technology. It's the Cybron Technology Kick Off Meeting. Unlike me during the previous years as the meeting kicks, where I get cold feet, butterfly in my stomach and stuffs, this year I was at ease; enjoying every seconds of it. Well I better enjoy it while I can people! Next is always uncertainty as far as everyone is concern.

2008 was a good year for me as I won the Cybron's 2008 Best Performance and at the same time the CEO Award. Alhamdulillah, rezeki anak2 berkat doa orang tersayang, families and fraternal friends. Next year tatau la apa cerita eh. Let's just pray for the best!

Wanting to give Danish some motivation so that he maintain his excitement and joy of going to school, I told Honey that I wanted to buy him a school bag. Honey smiled and agreed. When she was Danish's age, her father also did the same. Making sure everything from A to Z was brand new. And how excited she was everytime she went to school. Ouch, makes me feel old already, buying a school bag for my boy. Sigh.

It was Danish's first day at Tadika Cahaya Hidayahku nearby our home in Bangi. Honey and I were worried that Danish would find it hard to adjust to school since he was at home all this while. The only time he was sent to nursery was during Honey's lecturer days in KPTM. But hey, the first day wasn't so bad. Danish was kinda excited to see kids his age playing and singing when we arrived for registration that morning. Hope he'll adapt to school just fine.

Honey and I decided to make full use of the christmas sales at Mid Valley to pamper ourselves with some brand new perfumes. Bringing over the kids, they had a good time since Mid Valley was having some some sort of christmas snow show where they had this snow simulator where it would rain down some snow every 5 minutes. Cool!

Old friends, old memories...

Been there, done that. Well, I hate saying this again but hey, I kinda suck at updating this blog this few couples of week. That I must admit. Hope this doesn't last long though. This week we are staying at mother-in-law's since Honey had started doing prepparations for my brother-in-law's hantaran and stuffs. He (Kamal) will tie the knob somewhere in May next year and like a wizard and her magic wand, Honey dearie is keeping her hands busy starting doing this and that. And poor me had to be the babysitter while wifey is busy at her stuffs! Not too bad though. Giving me some time to spend with Danish and Iman when I get back from the office! The fatique after a tiring day at work and a pain-in-the-ass traffic jam drive just fade away after having both of them in my arms! Ahhh, therapeutic. Save me money for paying for massage!

Facebook had really done it's part and was a big help in getting me back in touch will all those missing-in-action friends. Buddies from university days in UNITEN-IUPUI, SMSAH, Maahad Muhammadi and even my primary dudes in Kamil 1. (We even had a gathering last raya, believe it or not. And that was not until 18 long years! Wow, come to think of it...).

Recently, Honey had got back in touch with one of her close friend during school times. She wanted to find her so badly since before our wedding but was frustrated with no trace of her. One thing Honey remembered was her friend once told her that her father would marry her off if she didn't get to go to university after SPM. How we joked about it. Kena pulak bila dah frust carik2 tak jumpa, we both made the assumption that dia dah beranak pinak la kot. All of a sudden there she was in Facebook! How it made my wife's day. Is that cool or what?! Thanx Facebook!

Swiss Garden Resort & Spa Kuantan

It's been quite sometime since my last update. Work has been a bit tight lately, pressure has been rising with some bad news from our principal in the US. They couldn't supply the units for the National Heart Institute on time due to the consent degree problem and it's been dragging and dragging since September till oh-my-god-I-dunno-when. On a much happier note, Danish and Iman has grown up really fast. Iman has now obtained her full license in 'walking-around-the-house' and big brother is giving her every help she needs. Cuma kadang2 ada gak dia nyakat2 Iman just to amuse her so memang kena monitor la dua orang adik beradik tu. Isk isk isk, anak sapooo...

And yeah, we went for a holiday in Kuantan last month to took a time off a bit. Unlike big brother Danish Haiqal who kept daddy busy with his curiosity sets of questions, our precious one-year-and-two-months daughter, Iman Syuhada slept well during the 2 hours journey from KL to Kuantan. Good girl! Giving her Ibu some opportunity to take some nap once in a while when daddy was helplessly yawning here and there! Our freezer is out!

Our fridge's freezer is out. The ice just wouldn't freeze. And I bet it is really dissapointing considering the hot, cruel weather these days. Tekak pulak cam saje je nak bagi hangin. Time camni la rasa nak minum ice manjang pon!

Fact is, it's been out for some time now. It's just that I didn't get the time to even care for it considering our extensive travelling and also things that happened around us here and there with us backpacking at my in-law's most of the time. Browsed through the internet for the fridge's service agent yesterday and emailed my complaint. They were quick to response when a lady called me up the next day.

Lady : "According to our record, we notice that your fridge is quite some time already ye encik?"

Nearly some time? What? We bought it soon after our wedding during our days in Kota Damansara. Been 5 years already lor. But hey, takkan tiap2 tahun nak beli peti sejuk kot. And if I can recall, my late granma's fridge is still kicking. Tu dah tau dah brapa tahun dah, zaman tok kodok lagi. As a matter of fact, fridge tu my mum lak yang guna after her refrigerator also failed her.

Me : "5 years"

Lady : Yes. The warranty is over already. If you agree, we would send our guys over to your house and check the fridge. RM30 for transportation and another RM50 for checking and service. If the gas needs to be refilled, we will have to charge another RM150.

Me : "Cool. Does Monday sounds good to you guys?"

There. Had it done. Hope they can fix it on the spot instead of taking Mr. Ice out to a trip to their factory and stuffs, where he once belonged!

Looks like it's already the 30th of October. Which also means that we are in the 30th day of Syawal. Don't really think that we got enough of raya though. We miss A LOT of fraternal friends open houses, some birthday bashes and also a close friend's wedding. Kinda upsetting though considering you don't get to get together with all your friends and relatives too much in any normal month. Syawal is obviously the month that you don't need a reason to get together and meet those friends that you rarely hang out with and stuffs. Well, talking about priority.

Iman's new skill is to make the sad face everytime we ask her to do so. We would go like, "Iman, buat muka sad camne Iman?"... As soon as she hears the word sad, her face would turn from smiles to a frowning little baby! And it make us laugh like crazy to see her do that over and over again. Especially Ayah dia la kan? Adeh, takleh tahan la... And yeah, talking about skills, she had successfully obtained her 'L' license, walking almost most of the time with her sifu brother Danish!

Aidilfitri without Hanum

Last year's aidilfitri was the first one celebrated without ayah, my father-in-law. Knowing how fragile Honey's mum was, I knew it was hard for her. On the contrary, she seemed strong, accepting the fate that Allah had chosen upon her husband and our family. The other part of me was impressed on how she managed to hang on to her inner strength deep down inside. I thanked god for that, not knowing what god has destined for us aidilfitri this year - Hanum's sudden death. And no matter how hard we tried to fool our outlandish little mind, it shows in our face that this year's aidilfitri won't be the same without her. Moga kasih sayang Allah rabbul jalil merahmati beliau dan kami sekeluarga, Amin.

It was the day that Danish has been waiting for, the self-picking-birthday-present-day! Reminded me of our trip to Cameron Highlands where you get self-plucking strawberries in the farms there! Danish's Fourth Birthday Bash

We really wanted to celebrate Danish & Iman's birthday in a special way, marking one of the many big event for September. Having the kids' birthdays falling in the fasting month however kinda limit things up. Our original plan was to celebrate it at The Zon, invite family members and fraternal friends and spend the night there. Instead we had our buka puasa buffet there with the rest of the family and the birthday celebration had to settle at Opah's house instead. The fact that Ayah and Ibu having no idea on what to get for his birthday present has eventually lead to another idea instead - let Danish pick his own present. We're going to ToyCity at Alamanda on Saturday and let the birthday boy pick his own birthday gift. Yeyyyy!!!

Danish Haiqal is 4 years old today - 17th Sept. Lagi 3 hari Iman Syuhada plak will turn 1 year old! Just imagine that. Damn, time really took us for a ride huh? Happy birthday son. There will sure be obstacles along the way but hey, Ayah dan ibu will both be there for you, as long as we live, to support and love you along the way. May all your dreams come true. Nothing much happenned, which kinda explained why I haven't been updating my blog.(Which I partially blame the office's internet slow connection for that!) Work has been as ussual but a bit slow here and there with the ramadhan month around. Seems like everybody has kind of chill down a bit, with lots of companies giving their muslim staffs the privillage to go back early to catch the pasar ramadhan and all. Met some old school buddies though which kinda spark old time memories. Been 18 years since we last met. Looking at the way things are now, maybe we'll get together this raya.

Weekend baru ni kitorang p KUIS, Kolej Universiti Islam Selangor amik barang2 arwah kat asrama. Hari pon hujan je masa tu. Memang sayu habih. Aku tengok mata Honey pon byk mengalir air mata sampai je kitorang kat pagar KUIS tu. Byk kenangan kami & Hanum kat sini especially masa lepak2 kat cafe and masjid lepas hantar Hanum ke KUIS lepas cuti ke weekend ke. Bila aku tanya Honey, dia kata kadang2 dia cuba tipu sendiri kononnya Hanum still ada kat KUIS. Tu pasal dia takde kat rumah. At least, it won't hurt so bad. Tapi skang ni bila diorang dah nak p angkut barang2 Hanum kat asrama dia wak balik umah, kiranye memang betul2 dah takde la. I just held her hands. I knew I had to start saying something. Something that would comfort her. But I too was speechless and lost for words. I guess the fact to let her go was another thing though. Mak menangis bila sampai je kat bilik Hanum. Terpaksa kawan2 arwah tenangkan walaupon mereka sendiri pon nangih.

It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday...

Do'a malaikat Jibril menjelang Ramadhan " "Ya Allah tolong abaikan puasa ummat Muhammad, apabila sebelum memasuki bulan Ramadhan dia tidak melakukan hal-hal yang berikut:

* Tidak memohon maaf terlebih dahulu kepada kedua orang tuanya (jika masih ada);
* Tidak berma'afan terlebih dahulu antara suami isteri;
* Tidak bermaafan terlebih dahulu dengan orang-orang sekitarnya.

Maka Rasulullah pun mengatakan Amiin sebanyak 3 kali. Dapatkah kita bayangkan, yang berdo'a adalah Malaikat dan yang meng-amiinkan adalah Rasullullah dan para sahabat , dan dilakukan pada hari Jumaat.

Oleh itu SAYA TERLEBIH DAHULU MEMOHON MAAF jika saya ada berbuat kesalahan, baik yang tidak di sengaja mahupun yang di sengaja , semoga kita dapat menjalani ibadah puasa.
